If Brentford win in the English Premier League, there is a good bet that Yoane Wissa or Bryan Mbeumo will play a crucial role and Congolese star Wissa got on the scoresheet in a 4-3 victory over Manchester United for the Bees on Sunday.
Wissa was in the right place to finish a cross from Michael Kayode, giving Brentford a 4-1 lead for a goal that would stand as the match winner. Mason Mount opened the scoring for United inside fifteen minutes, sparking a powerful response that saw hosts Brentford score four unanswered goals.
United made a valiant effort in the final stretch of the match to restore parity. Alejandro Garnacho pulled one back in the 82nd minute before Ivorian starlet Amad Diallo, making his Premier League return after a spell out due to injury, scored deep into second half stoppage time with a powerful left-footed effort.
However, there was not enough time for United to complete the comeback as they failed to win for the sixth consecutive league match. Brentford, on the other hand, now have three straight wins with Wissa providing goal contributions in each of their last four games. The DR Congo international now has 18 goals and 3 assists in 32 league matches this season for the new occupants of 9th place on the table.
Diallo continues his breakout season in the Premier League despite United's poor form and the Ivorian still has a strong chance to win a trophy with his club in the UEFA Europa League where the Red Devils are favorites to reach the final. Diallo now has 10 goals and 7 assists in 38 apperances across all competitions for United who are 15th in the Premier League table.
