Wolfsburg issue stance on Mohamed Amine Amoura amid Benfica interest

Wolfsburg sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz has addressed growing speculation surrounding the future of Algerian international Mohamed Amine Amoura, who has been linked with a move to Portuguese giants Benfica.

Speaking to the German press on Sunday, Schindzielorz confirmed that the forward is attracting attention but insisted that the player remains part of Wolfsburg’s plans.

“Many clubs are monitoring Amoura, and we have already held talks on this matter. But Mohamed is a Wolfsburg player,” the director explained.

He added that any potential suitor, including Benfica, would have to meet the club’s conditions:

“If Benfica or any other club want to sign him, they must stick to our terms. Amoura is still under contract, and we are completely calm about the situation.”

Mohamed, 25, joined Wolfsburg earlier in 2024 summer and has already impressed in 35 games, scoring 11 goals and assisting 12.
