Wolves and Leeds set for January battle over Terem Moffi

Nigerian forward Terem Moffi is reportedly linked with a move away from French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, as English Premier League clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United are lining up bids for the January transfer window.

Moffi is seeking a move away from Nice following a recent assault by the club’s ultras. The incident involved the Nigerian and Ivory Coast international Jeremie Boga, who were attacked after Nice’s 3-1 defeat to Lorient in late November.

The 26-year-old has yet to make an appearance for Nice since the incident.

According to reports, Wolves and Leeds United are considering approaching Nice for the forward.

Moffi initially arrived at Nice on loan from another French club, Lorient, in January 2023, before the move was made permanent that summer for a fee of €30 million.

He has scored 54 goals in 148 appearances in Ligue 1 for both Lorient and Nice. More European clubs are expected to show interest in the Nigerian international as the transfer window approaches.
