The Black Stars, who will be making their fifth appearance, are paired in Group L alongside European sides England and Croatia with CONCACAF side Panama completing the group.
The four-time African champions will open their campaign on Wednesday, June 17, against Panama at BMO Field in Toronto before facing England in the second group fixture on Tuesday, June 23, at Gillette Stadium in Boston. The final game from the group will be against Croatia on Saturday, June 27.
Kudus, who will be playing in his second FIFA World Cup after his debut at Qatar 2022, has expressed Ghana’s readiness to face the Three Lions of England.
“The approach is part of the game and I think qualifying for the World Cup alone is a big statement from us and it shows what we can do so there is still a bit of time until that so just focused on here for now and definitely we will prepare towards that as well but it’s good to have England in group,” Kudus said.
“Interesting [and] I’m looking forward to that, playing against most of the players in the country here and some of the other guys that play here as well so we are pretty much aware of the side that we are facing and the quality they have but we will definitely be up for it and be ready.”
Ghana qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after topping Group I with 25 points from 10 matches. Their best moment was at the 2010 World Cup edition in South Africa where they reached the quarterfinals under coach Milovan Rajevac.
