Ghana is inches away from securing a fifth FIFA World Cup qualification provided they hold their guns against Comoros in the final qualifiers in Accra.
The four time African champions brightened their chances with a 5-0 walloping of Central African Republic in the penultimate fixture at the Meknes Stadium in Morocco, a score line Ghanaians never anticipated.

With 22 points collected in nine qualifying games, Ghana needs any form of draw or better still a to book an automatic spot in Canada, USA and Mexico next year.
Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo remains expressed confidence ahead of the Comoros clash at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12.
“I don’t think previous results will affect us too much. We can’t win every game. We know how strong they are. The first match I wasn’t there so maybe we underrated them a bit. I hope we can beat them with a big scoreline but it will be difficult,” Otto Addo said at the pre-match press conference.
Ghana appeared in three straight World Cup editions in Germany 2006, 2010 and Brazil 2014, reaching the quarter finals in South Africa 2010 after a round 16 berth in the first.
They exited their fourth World Cup in the group stage at the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar
The team currently sits top of Group I with 22 points, three ahead of second-placed Madagascar. A victory over Comoros will seal Ghana’s qualification and mark a perfect finish to their impressive qualifying campaign.
