An unfortunate 6th minute own goal from Eswatini defender Gift Gamedze set the stage for the Indomitable Lions to roar to victory in Yaoundé. All three goals arrived in the first half with visitors Eswatini reduced to defending in their own end for most of the match.
Star forwards Bryan Mbeumo and Vincent Aboubakar also contributed to the thrashing. Mbeumo’s precise cross from the right wing in the 25th minute found the far post run of Georges-Kévin N’Koudou, who headed in Cameroon’s second goal.
Aboubakar then nodded down another cross from the right wing to set up Arthur Avom for his first Indomitable Lions goalto leave the home supporters satisfied.

Cameroon remain one point back of Cape Verde, who won at Mauritius earlier on Thursday. The two teams will face off next Tuesday in Cape Verde where a victory for either team could determine the group winner as well as a place at the World Cup finals next summer.
