World Cup Qualifying: Duo ruled out of Zambia’s game against Morocco

Zambia coach Avram Grant has dropped defender Frankie Musonda and striker Kelvin Kampamba from Monday’s World Cup qualifier against Morocco due to injury.

Bahrain-based defender Musonda and ZESCO United midfielder Kampamba did not make the final squad after undergoing medical assessment ahead of the Group E contest at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the mining town of Ndola.

The unavailability of the duo has since reduced the squad to 26, The squad is expected to eventually go down to 24 players, according to the Football Association of Zambia.

The squad is also without Abraham Siankombo, Saddam Phiri, Mwenya Chibwe and Killian Kanguluma, who have not made the final squad.

Zambia still have enough arsenal with Patson Daka of Leicester City and Saudi Arabia-based Fashion Sakala back in the squad after missing some games.

The squad comprises other top players such as Miguel Chaiwa, Edward Chilufya, Joseph Liteta and Kingstone Mutandwa.
