Zambia national team midfielder Kings Kangwa is confident they are ready to do everything at their disposal to beat Morocco in their 2026 FIFA World Cup fixture at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Monday.
While the Atlas Lions have already qualified for the global tournament following their 5-0 thumping of Niger, the Chipolopolo will be seeking to close in on Tanzania, who are sitting second in Group E after they drew 1-1 against Congo.
According to the Hapoel Be’er Sheva star, Morocco will precent an exciting challenge for the Chipolopolo in their quest to stand with the best in the game.
“It is going to be a very difficult but exciting game. These are the games we look forward to, we are ready and doing everything. We can’t wait for Monday,” Kangwa told FAZ Media.
“So far so good, it is very hot, but we are getting used. We understand it is very difficult, we are trying everything, so stick with us and we are waiting for you so come to give us support and we will do our best.”
He added: “I am doing my best, my plan is to try by all means to be there for the team and take the same form, motivation and preparation to bring it here also. I am in good shape, and I will do my best to try to help the team.”
Morocco secured their ticket after thumping Niger 5-0 to amass an unassailable 18 points while Tanzania is in second place on 10 points after their 1-1 draw with bottom place Congo Brazzaville who are on one point. Zambia lies third on six points.
The nine group winners will qualify automatically for the FIFA World Cup. The four best runners-up will then compete for one place at the FIFA Play-Off Tournament.
