Uganda brushed aside Mozambique 4-0 in Kampala on Friday to snatch second place in Group G from their ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign. The Cranes dominated the encounter and came out victorious after a brave second half.

Three points separated the hosts from their opponents heading into the game. Uganda were better in the first half but failed to penetrate a resilient Mozambique defense led by Reinildo Mandava.
