It is easy to see the quality that Algerian playmaker Yacine Brahimi still possesses even at 35-years-old. The creative attacker continues to shine in Qatari football and his club Al-Gharafa will compete for silverware after a 4-2 victory on Monday in the Emir Cup semifinals.

The former FC Porto star was on target just before halftime, scoring from the penalty spot to give Gharafa the lead against Umm-Salal. Brahimi fired in the match winner in the 14th minute of first half stoppage time to give his club a lead they would not relinquish.

Ghanaian-born Qatar international striker Mohammed Muntari scored the second of two goals in the second half to secure the victory. Brahimi and Al-Gharafa will face Egyptian winger Trezeguet and Brahimi's former club, Al Rayyan, in the final on May 24. Al Rayyan defeated Al Ahli Doha on Sunday in a 3-0 victory.

Brahimi now has 11 goals and 9 assists in 30 appearances across all competition this season. Now in his sixth season in Qatari football, Brahimi continues to be a prolific goal contributor with 60 goals and 37 assists in 114 Qatar Stars League appearances.
