Young African (Yanga SC) head coach Sead Ramovic has called on his players to put more energy in their games after a 3-2 Mainland Premier League victory against Mashujaa FC at the KMC Mwenge Complex on Wednesday.

A hat-trick from Zambia striker Prince Dube enabled the Timu ya Mwanachi to win the nervy fixture. Speaking after the game, Ramovic praised the opponents for giving his side a tough game.

“First of all I have to congratulate the opponent for a fair tough game, they fought against us and they were not that easy to break down, I also congratulate my team for the great effort, from the first minute until the end we controlled the game and in the first 20 minutes we should be leading 5-0 up but we missed some great opportunities,” Ramovic told Pan-Africa Football.

“After that we dropped down (our playing style), and these is because of the fitness, something that I have been talking about, we dropped and could not score more goals, but it will take a process to rectify these.

“It is not something we can change but we are working on it. When you see the first 25 minutes how we put the energy is the right way to do it but we must put that energy for entire 90 minutes, but I am sure we are on the tight track.”

On the performance of Dube, Ramovic explained; “I don’t want to put one guy ahead, it is a team effort, if we don’t have a team, he can’t score three goals, it is a team effort and I thank my players for the win.”

The win enabled Yanga to move third on the table with 30 points, three less table leaders Azam FC and one less second-placed and rivals Simba SC.
