Tanzania Mainland Premier League champions Yanga SC have strengthened their attack by signing striker Emmanuel Mwanengo on a two-year contract.
The highly-rated attacker has joined from TRA United on a reported free transfer following the expiration of his short-term contract.
Yanga have since praised the attributes of Mwanengo who is adept at playing in all attacking positions, including operating from midfield.
The statement says they brought the forward on board on recommendation of coach Pedro Gonçalves-led coaching panel.
Mwanengo has since hit the ground running in training ahead of local and CAF Champions League group-stage assignments.
Tanzania media says Mwanengo is a product of LG Organisation youth academy. He launched his professional football career in Tajikistan with Ravshan Kulob
before signing for Vakhsh FC. He eventually moved to TRA United earlier this year.
Meanwhile, media reports in Tanzania suggest that they are close to loaning out Ivorian midfielder Mohammed Doumbia to fellow Mainland Premier League side Singida Black Stars.
