Young Africans (Yanga SC) coach Sead Ramovic has praised his players for their display which saw them hammer Tanzania Prisons 4-0 in a Mainland Premier League fixture on Sunday.

The reigning champions took control of the game from the onset and they scored the opener in the 11th minute through Clement Mzize. They scored the second in the 42nd minute courtesy of Ibrahim Hamad Bacca before Zimbabwe international Prince Dube drilled home the third in the stoppages for a 3-0 lead at the half time break.

The second half saw Yanga continue to dominate the game and they sealed the emphatic win in the 84th minute when Hamad Bacca hit the back of the net to grab a brace.

“Yes of course our main aim was to get the three points, our aim was also to make sure we keep a clean sheet and play a tactical game from the first whistle that we don’t let the opponent to breath and we don’t allow them to have any space,” Ramovic told Pan-Africa Football.

“I think from the first minute my players took the instructions and played very well and I must be proud of my players, how they played from the first minute the effort they put into the game and their attitude was at the top level.

“We have 22 to 23 players who understand my principles and what I need from them, I also have to give credit to my coaching staff how they have worked with me to bring unity amongst the players is very amazing, and also thank the supporters for coming in large numbers and gave the team the needed support.

“It was not an easy game, the opponent gave us a fair tough game, it is not easy to play against these teams (struggling teams) but I think all in all it was a nice game and I hope the supporters enjoyed the game and this is how it should be always.”

The win enabled Yanga to move second on the table with 33 points, one less table leaders Simba SC.
