The Hall of Fame was started in 2021 and has seen Premier League legends inducted once voted in by fans. The 42-year-old former City midfielder spent eight seasons with the Citizens. Toure was a key figure when City turned into an English football powerhouse and he won three Premier League titles during his stay at the club.
The Hall of Fame recognises and celebrates individuals who have an exceptional record of success and have made a significant contribution to the Premier League since its inception in 1992. It is the highest individual honour awarded by the League. Fifteen players will vie for induction into the Hall of Fame, with final results being disclosed in a ceremony on the 4th of November.
Didier Drogba remains the only African player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The former Chelsea and Ivory Coast national team forward received the honour in 2022.
