Young Africans attacker Clement Mzize appears likely to complete a transfer to European football after Pan-Africa Football confirmed that Yanga are in ongoing discussions to transfer Mzize to a French Ligue 1 club for next season.
A source close to the situation confirmed that a move is likely for Mzize who would move ahead of next season. The club was not named due to the sensitive nature of the discussions but it appears that there is plenty of interest in the services of Mzize who took a major step forward this season with the Tanzanian champions.
Yanga have slapped a price tag of 5 billion Tanzanian shillings ($1,858,736) on Mzize before the Citizens will let the 21-year-old go. The source stated to Pan-Africa Football that it is becoming more and more unlikely that Mzize will be a member of Yanga next season. If Yanga's price tag is met they will not stand in the way of an opportunity abroad for the forward.
Tanzanian social media has speculated that the club is Olympique Lyonnais but there is no confirmation of the specific club. Mzize has 19 goals in 35 appearances this season across all competitions along with 2 assists.
