Young Africans (Yanga) is preparing to enter a new stage of development after establishing a strategic partnership with Sevilla FC in Spain, a partnership aimed at raising the standards of the club’s operations as well as developing youth football talents in Tanzania.
Speaking about the partnership, Young Africans President and Chairman of the African Clubs Association (ACA), Eng. Hersi Said, said the agreement will open up important opportunities in improving the club’s development systems from youth level to the senior team.

Eng. Hersi explained that Yanga has continued to be among the leading clubs in Tanzania and Africa due to its success in domestic and international competitions run by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), so the partnership is part of a strategy to further strengthen those successes.
“The current vision of Tanzanian football is to build strong foundations for youth football. This partnership with Sevilla comes at the right time to support those efforts and ensure we produce the best talents for the future,” said Eng. Hersi.
He added the relationship between Yanga and Sevilla is not new, as the Spanish club has previously participated in providing advice and support in the process of systemic and operational improvements of the Young Africans club, making the current partnership a continuation of a long-standing relationship.
According to Eng. Hersi, through a new project to develop children’s talents from an early age, Sevilla FC will contribute to professional matters, teaching methods as well as football development systems, a move that is expected to bring productivity to both parties.
The partnership is expected to strengthen the value chain in Tanzanian football, especially considering that East African countries are preparing for the preparations for the major football competitions in Africa to be held in 2027.
