Youssouf Sabaly is set to leave Real Betis for Al-Duhail SC. The two clubs are in advanced negotiations to finalize the Senegalese right-back's transfer to Qatar.

The agreement between the parties is almost complete. Only a few details remain before the deal is formalized. The final transfer could be finalized for a fee close to two million Euros. The 32-year-old Senegalese international has agreed to join Al-Duhail SC (Qatar) and embark on a new challenge.

Under contract with Real Betis until 2026, Sabaly has fallen out of favor within the Betis squad due to his recurring physical problems and the fierce competition at right-back where players like Héctor Bellerín, Aitor Ruibal, and the young Ángel Ortiz have gained ground. Sabaly made 34 appearances, contributing 3 assists between games in La Liga, the Copa del Rey and during Betis' run to the final of the UEFA Conference League.

Al-Duhail SC has listed Sabaly as one of its priority targets to strengthen its squad for the new season. The transfer could be finalized as soon as the international transfer window opens.
