Experienced women’s coach Yusif Basigi has been appointed as the head coach of the senior female team B of Ghana.

The former Black Queens coach will handle the team in what the Ghana Football Association describes as “strengthening the technical leadership of women’s football in Ghana”.

Basigi has a rich experience domestically and across the continent – handling both the Black Queens and Ghana U-20, Black Princesses.

Yusif Basigi previously managed Simba Queens of Tanzania

The 53-year-old previously managed Ghana Women’s Premier League club Hasaacas Ladies and Simba Queens in Tanzania.

He is currently handling Police Ladies, a side he led to the 2025 WAFU ZONE B Women’s CAF Champions League qualifiers.

Yusif Basigi will be assisted by former Black Queens defender Dora Zuta while ex-Asante Kotoko and Black Stars goalkeeper Isaac Amoako takes charge of goalkeeping duties.

Other members of the technical and support staff include Aboagye Dacosta (Athletic Coach), Memunatu Mumuni (Equipment Officer), and Princess Amoako (Welfare Manager).

On the medical side, Dr Baah Christiana has been named Team Doctor, with Rabiatu Abubakar serving as Team Masseur and Gyamfuaa Amponsah as Physiotherapist.
