Zamalek’s Chico Banza ruled out of Cairo Derby super clash with Al Ahly

Zamalek will be without Angolan forward Chico Banza for the highly anticipated Cairo Derby against Al Ahly in the Nile Egyptian League.

According to Yallakora, the 26-year-old winger has been left out of Zamalek’s squad for Monday’s showdown at the Cairo International Stadium, which kicks off at 5:00 PM GMT (8:00 PM local time) as part of Round 8 of the Nile Egyptian League.

Banza, who came on as a substitute in Zamalek’s previous outing against El Gouna, failed to make a decisive impact in the second half. Since joining the club, he has featured in five matches, scoring two goals against Modern Sport and Pharco, but missing out on games against Al Mokawloon, Al Masry, and Ismaily.

Zamalek currently sit at the top of the league table with 17 points, while defending champions Al Ahly are down in eighth place on 12 points.
