Zamalek head coach Moatamed Gamal has confirmed that Angolan winger Chico Banza missed the team’s recent victory over Haras El Hodoud due to a muscle injury.
Zamalek secured a 2-0 win on Friday at Cairo International Stadium in Round 18 of the Egyptian League, but Banza was absent from the squad without prior explanation.
Speaking during the post-match press conference, Gamal clarified the situation:
“Chico Banza suffered a hamstring injury,” the Zamalek coach revealed.
“The squad will have a rest on Saturday, and then we will evaluate Banza’s situation and determine the possibility of his participation in the training,” he concluded.
