Zamalek SC’s board of directors sent two official letters on Sunday to both the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and the EFA's Disciplinary Committee, inquiring about the reason behind the lack of investigation and decision on the complaint the club submitted on May 4 regarding their player Ahmed Mostafa “Zizo.”
In both letters, the club confirmed that Zizo’s contract with Zamalek ends on July 1, therefore he is not entitled to move to any other club before that date.
Zamalek demanded that both the Football Association and the Disciplinary Committee urgently investigate the club’s complaint and issue a decision before Zizo’s contract with the club expires.
These developments come amid Zizo’s expected move to Al Ahly following the expiration of his contract with Zamalek at the end of the current season.
The dispute revolves around the exact date of the contract’s expiration — whether it is at the end of the season on June 5 or the end of June.
