Dr. Mohamed Osama, Head of the Medical Staff for Zamalek's first football team, revealed that striker Nasser Mansi sustained a strong contusion to the nasal bone during the team’s recent Egyptian Premier League match against Al Masry.
In statements to the club’s media center, the medical chief added that the player's condition will be monitored closely until just before the upcoming league fixture against National Bank to determine his readiness to participate.
Nasser Mansi is currently the top scorer in the Egyptian Premier League with 9 goals, tied with Al Ahly's Emam Ashour, National Bank’s Osama Faisal, and Ghazl El Mahalla's Mohamed Ali Ben Hammouda.
Dr. Mohamed Osama also stated that midfielder Mahmoud Gehad is continuing his rehabilitation program as he suffers from lower back pain and a hamstring issue.
He concluded by saying: “Team captain Mahmoud Abd Alrazek ‘Shikabala’ is in the final stage of his rehabilitation program, recovering from a knee injury.”
Zamalek currently sits third in the Egyptian Premier League (Nile League) table with 39 points, four points behind second-placed Al Ahly.
