Zamalek were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw against newly promoted Arab Contractors in their Nile Egyptian League Week 2 clash at Cairo International Stadium.

Head coach Yannick Ferreira opted to start with a Palestinian attacking duo of Adam Kaied and Oday Dabbagh instead of injured Chico Banza and substitute Nasser Mansi.

The match also saw the debut of Brazilian winger Juan Alvina Bezerra, who came on as a substitute at Cairo International Stadium.

The result leaves Zamalek with four points, placing them third in the standings behind leaders Al Masry (six points) and Al Ahly (four points, ahead on goal difference).

Arab Contractors, meanwhile, picked up their first point of the season and currently sit 17th in the table.

In the other games on Saturday, ENPPI defeated Wadi Degla 1-0, while Smouha played out a goalless draw with Ghazl El Mahalla.
