Zamalek SC have reached an amicable settlement with former head coach Jose Gomes and his backroom staff over outstanding financial matters.
In recent days, the club’s sporting director John Edward held direct talks with the Portuguese coach to resolve the issue without resorting to legal proceedings. The discussions concluded positively, with both parties agreeing to end the matter in a friendly and professional manner.
Edward tasked the club’s legal advisor, Mohamed Metwally, with finalizing and signing the settlement agreements, ensuring that Gomes and his assistants received their dues.
Gomes expressed his sincere appreciation and affection for Zamalek and its loyal supporters, wishing the club good luck in its future challenges.
Jose Gomes managed Zamalek between February and December 2024, leading the team to an impressive double—winning the CAF Confederation Cup and the CAF Super Cup—before parting ways with the club.
