Zamalek left back ruled out for Nile League clash

Dr. Mohamed Osama, head of the medical staff at Egyptian club Zamalek, has confirmed that left-back Ahmed Fatouh will miss the club’s upcoming match against Al Masry, scheduled for Thursday at Borg El Arab Stadium, in the third round of the title phase of the Nile Egyptian League.

In statements to Zamalek’s media center, Dr. Osama revealed that Fatouh sustained a first-degree calf muscle tear during the team’s friendly match against Bahtem.

He added that the player is currently undergoing a rehabilitation and treatment program after the injury led to a blood clot in the muscle, in order to prepare him for upcoming matches.

Zamalek currently sit third in the Nile Egyptian League table with 38 points ahead of their clash with fourth placed Al Masry who have 35 points before the game.
