Zamalek SC have officially announced the signing of Angolan winger Chico Banza on a four-year contract, as part of their summer transfer window reinforcements.
The 26-year-old joins the Egyptian giants from Portuguese side Estrela da Amadora.
Banza signed his contract during a meeting with Zamalek’s Sporting Director John Edward, following the successful conclusion of negotiations with the Portuguese club.
Primarily operating as a left winger, he has earned three international caps for the Angola national team and has experience in both the Portuguese and Cypriot leagues. His previous clubs include:
The acquisition of Banza marks Zamalek’s second confirmed signing of the summer, following the arrival of veteran goalkeeper Mahdi Soliman, who joined on a free transfer from Al Ittihad of Alexandria on a two-year contract.
The club has also recently appointed Belgian coach Yannick Ferrera as the new head coach, signaling a new era for the White Knights ahead of the 2025/26 season.
