Egyptian giants Zamalek SC have announced the signing of Kenyan right-back Baron Ochieng on a free transfer, securing his services on a four-year contract despite the close of the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old defender, who recently terminated his contract with Kenyan side Sofapaka, put pen to paper in a meeting with sporting director John Edward, after all terms were finalized.
Ochieng will be registered as an underage player, adding youthful depth to the Egyptian team’s squad.
The Cairo giants unveiled the signing through a video posted on their official Facebook page, accompanied by the caption: “From the jungles of Nairobi to Mit Okba, welcome the new Kenyan arrival, Baron Ochieng.”
