Chico Banza misses Zamalek squad for Arab Contractors clash in Nile Egyptian League

Zamalek head coach Yannick Ferrera has named his 23-man squad for Saturday night’s Nile Egyptian League fixture against Arab Contractors, set to kick off at 9 PM local time (7 PM GMT) at Cairo International Stadium.

Defenders: Omar Gaber, Mahmoud Hamdi “El Wensh,” Hossam Abdel Meguid, Mohamed Ismail, Mahmoud Bentaig, Salah Mossadak.

Midfielders: Nabil Emad Dunga, Mohamed Shehata, Seif Gaafar, Juan Alfena Bezerra, Adam Kaid, Ahmed Abdel Rahim “Eisho,” Abdallah El Said, Nasser Maher, Abdelhamid Maali.

Forwards: Oday Dabbagh, Nasser Mansi, Amr Nasser, Ahmed Sherif.

The squad sees notable absences as Angolan striker Chico Banza has been ruled out after complaining of adductor fatigue, with the medical and technical staff agreeing to rest him due to the congested schedule.

Mahmoud Gehad also misses out with a muscle strain, while Ahmed Rabie continues his rehabilitation program.

Zamalek are aiming to build momentum in their second league match under Ferrera’s leadership as they look to secure an early-season victory.
