Zamalek rediscovered their winning touch with a 3–1 triumph over Tala’ea El Gaish at the Cairo International Stadium, as part of Matchday 13 of the Nile Egyptian League.

The White Knights got off to a flying start when Nasser Maher opened the scoring in the 5th minute, capitalizing on a clever through ball from Nabil Emad “Dunga” that split the defense and broke the offside trap.

However, the first half brought a setback for Zamalek as Brazilian winger Juan Bezerra was forced off with a hamstring injury in the 28th minute, prompting interim coach Ahmed Abdel Raouf to bring on Palestinian forward Oday Dabbagh.

Zamalek doubled their advantage early in the second half, with Maher striking again in the 49th minute. After a cross from Ahmed Fattouh turned into a loose ball, Maher’s initial effort was saved by goalkeeper Mohamed Shaaban, but he reacted again to bury the rebound into the net.

Oday Dabbagh then put the result beyond doubt in the 61st minute, rising highest to head home a pinpoint cross from Moroccan full-back Mahmoud Bentayg, making it 3–0 for Zamalek.

El Gaish managed to pull one back in the 80th minute through Mohamed Atef, the on-loan Zamalek striker, who nodded in a header to make it 3–1.

The closing minutes saw Zamalek reduced to ten men after Ahmed Fattouh picked up an injury, but they secured all three points.

This victory takes Zamalek to 22 points, moving them temporarily into second place on goal difference behind Al Ahly, and marks their first league win after four matches without victory—a strong start for interim boss Ahmed Abdel Raouf.

Meanwhile, Tala’ea El Gaish’s struggles continued, as they remain winless in seven consecutive league matches, staying 18th in the table with 10 points.
