Zamalek officially booked their place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage after completing a double victory over Somali side Dekedaha.

The second leg took place at Al Salam Stadium in Cairo on Friday, with the White Knights claiming a 1-0 win to seal a 7-0 aggregate triumph, following their emphatic 6-0 victory in the first leg.

The breakthrough came in the 38th minute when the referee awarded a penalty to Zamalek. Tunisian striker Seifeddine Jaziri stepped up and converted from the spot to make it 1-0 in the 40th minute. That scoreline remained unchanged until the end of the game.

In the second half, Zamalek were handed another penalty after a Dekedaha defender handled the ball inside the box. Midfielder Mohamed El Sayed took the resulting spot-kick in the 64th minute, but his low effort was saved by the Dekedaha goalkeeper.

Despite missing the second penalty, Zamalek comfortably advanced to the next round with an overall score of 7-0 across both legs.

The draw for the CAF Confederation Cup group stage is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 3.
