Zambia national team midfielder Frederick Mulambia is confident they have what it takes to make it out of their group during the African Nations Championship (CHAN) set to kick-off on August 2 in East Africa.
Pooled in Group A that has Angola, DR Congo, Morocco and hosts Kenya, Mulambia said: “On paper it seems to be a tough group, but I trust my team and our abilities. We can make it. It is about hard work.
“To the fans, they should give us the support and we shall do the rest.”
On his personal ambitions at the tournament, “My personal target is to help the team and play every game. I need to help the team score goals and achieve the set target.”
The Chipolopolo will open their CHAN campaign on August 7 with a tussle against DR Congo before facing Angola three days later. The third game will be against Morocco on August 14 before concluding the group matches three days later in a clash with Kenya.
The CHAN will run from August 2-30 in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
