The Zambian government is working round the clock to evacuate Chipolopolo team player Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba from Libya following escalating violence in Tripoli.

The government assured the public that Kampamba’s safety remains a top priority.
Meanwhile, newly elected Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) President Keith Mweemba, while giving an update on the situation, confirmed that they were working closely with the Zambian government to evacuate the player.
“We are working closely with the Government to facilitate the safe evacuation of Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, a vital member of our National Team, back to Zambia,” said Mweemba. “The safety and well-being of Kelvin and all our players remain our top priority.
“We urge everyone to remain calm and assured that we are doing everything possible to ensure his secure return. We appreciate your understanding and support during this time.”
