Zambia’s top-flight league side, Kabwe Warriors FC has parted ways with head coach Albert Kachinga after deciding not to renew his contract.

A statement from Kabwe spokesperson Kelvin Musako confirmed that Kachinga’s contract was not extended beyond June 15, 2025, when it expired.

“The resolution was made after careful consideration and evaluation of the team's performance. The club is committed to finding a suitable replacement who can drive the team forward and achieve success,” the statement reads.

Kabwe, the 1987 Zambia league champions, did not announce who will take charge of the team on an interim basis with assistant coach Chintu Kampamba also released.

The team finished in a distant fifth place in the just-ended season, 17 points behind champions Power Dynamos. The club is based in Kabwe and is considered Zambia’s second most successful team in terms of winning trophies only bettered by Mufulirwa Wanderers FC.
