Zambia's FAZ/MTN Super League side Kabwe Warriors have swiftly hired George Chilufya as the new coach, deputized by Jackson Mwanza.
The Warriors’ statement says the duo has joined the club from another top league side, Trident FC, on a two-year contract.
The club hired the coaching duo a day after parting ways with head coach Albert Kachinga and his deputy, Chintu Kampamba.
Warriors Chairman Clyde Muleya told the club’s media that he has full confidence in the new coach.
“We have great expectations from you and your assistant. We actually feel that with your vast experience and your winning mentality, we want to win the league this coming season,” he said.
He adds that the coaches' wealth of knowledge and tactical acumen will undoubtedly benefit the team.

"So we shall try to do our best. We just hope to work together as a unit, starting from the groundsman to the sponsor and everyone who is connected to the club."
