Power Dynamos beat Kabwe Warriors 2-0 on Saturday afternoon to leapfrog ZESCO United at the top of the MTN Super League log table on goal aggregate.

Malawian Chifundo Mphasi scored in the 17th and 66th minutes sandwiching Augustine Muwowo’s goal. Gabriel Banda’s 58th-minute strike was not enough to salvage something for the third-placed Warriors.

ZESCO had a chance to stay top as they welcomed Forest Rangers, only for the two teams to huff and puff into a barren draw, handing Dynamos the initiative in this tight championship race. ZANACO lie in wait next Saturday for the deposed leaders.

There were more games on Saturday with Green Eagles giving away the lead twice after Kanda Moise and Isaac Zulu's 36th-minute and 60th-minute goals to settle for a two-all draw with visiting Nchanga Rangers who replied through Luzeka Sama in the 42nd minute and Christopher Itaka in the 64th minute.

Still on Saturday holders Red Arrows came back on the road with a point after a goalless draw with Nkwazi FC while Atletico Lusaka were 2-0 winners over FC Muza.

Elsewhere, Evans Kayombo's goal three minutes to half-time handed Napsa Stars a 1-0 win over table anchors Indeni FC.

Attention shifted to the action on Sunday when Nkana FC beat record champions Mufulirwa Wanderers 1-0 to go within five points of the joint leaders, thanks to Idriss Mbombo’s goal.
