Zambia Super League club Zanaco Football Club have extended the contract of striker Lambert Araina.
The Cameroonian goal poacher signed a two-year contract extension with the Lusaka based club as they shore up their squad for future assignments.
Since joining the Bankers, the forward has given a good account of himself to earn the confidence of the technical staff and the management.
Speaking on the latest development, Zanaco CEO Owen Chimpinde expressed confidence in Lambert’s commitment to the club.
“He has shown great commitment and we expect him to continue working hard. His contribution is key to our ambitions, especially as we aim to compete strongly in CAF competitions,” the CEO said.
Lambert, 27, has registered 13 goals since joining the club two seasons ago.

Zanaco, who currently sit 4th on the Zambia Super League table with 42 points, are focused on building a competitive squad capable of returning to Africa football. They are 10 points behind leaders Power Dynamos from 25 league matches, a game more than Dynamos.
Araina started off at home club Coton Sport FC before a stint with Morocco’s FAR Rabat. He had two spells in Iraq with Karbala’a FC and Ghaz Al-Shamal before settling in Zambia in 2024.
He is however yet to be capped by the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, making the bench for a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Mozambique back in 2021.
