Zenatha Coleman offers herself to Kaizer Chiefs Ladies

Barely a week after their establishment, Kaizer Chiefs Ladies have attracted the interest of one of Africa’s top footballers.

Namibia women’s national team skipper Zenatha Coleman has offered herself to the newly formed South Africa’s elite women’s team.

The Cyprus-based midfielder is a big fan of Kaizer Chiefs. She dons the team’s jersey and follows their performances in the Betway Premiership.

Now that the Premier Soccer League giants have a sister side, Coleman has sent a come- and-get-me message.

Why Zenatha Coleman is big fan of Kaizer Chiefs

Reacting to the news about the birth of Chiefs ladies’ team, the 32-year-old tweeted via her x.com handle @ZenathaC10, saying: “Ready for Kaizer Chiefs Ladies.”

Earlier, the Namibia captain had also commented on the birth of the ladies’ team, saying: “We are finally here.”

Recently, Coleman joined little-known Doğan Türk Birliği Sports Club in Cyprus on a free transfer from Turkish club Beylerbeyi Spor where she spent two seasons.

The Brave Gladiators’ player’s career in Europe has also taken her to Gintra Universitetas (Lithuania), Zaragoza CFF, Valencia CF Femenino, Sevilla FC Femenino (all Spain), Fenerbahçe SK Women and Beylerbeyi Spor (both Turkey).

Now at her seventh club in the professional ranks, Coleman graduated from JS Academy in Namibia before launching her adventure of Europe in 2016.

The national team career of Coleman

Earlier last year, Coleman considered retirement from international football after being excluded from the Brave Gladiators squad that faced Eswatini in the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The forward hinted at her retirement in reaction to the final 21-member squad Namibia coach Woody Jacobs released that time.

However, her return to the national team proved a masterstroke. She led the Brave Gladiators to their maiden 2026 COSAFA Women’s Championship title after beating South Africa in extra-time on March 1. Coleman was named player of the tournament.
