The future of coach Mathews Ndhlovu at ZESCO United remains under serious threat following a run of poor results in the MTN Super League of Zambia.
Ndhlovu presided over a 3-1 loss to league leaders Red Arrows on Sunday to throw his future with the ABSA Cup holders under serious scrutiny amid mounting pressure from fans.

The third consecutive defeat in the local league came two weeks after the ABSA Cup king’s elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup from the group stage.
Sensing trouble, United has taken steps it feels would go a long way in addressing the issue of Ndhlovu ’s performance.
In a statement, the CAF Confederation Cup representatives for the Southern African nation say the club’s management is concerned with the club’s continued poor run of form.
“As Management, we have observed the poor performance of the team and hereby wish to inform all stakeholders, fans and the general public that we are currently in the process of reviewing the technical bench,” reads part of the statement.
“We believe that the club could be in a better position than it is currently in. Technical bench has since been cautioned and are aware of what is at stake.”
The Ndola-based club has since promised to review the performance of the coaching panel and come up with a decision.
“Our fans will soon be informed on the necessary steps management is taking to salvage the situation. We, therefore, appeal to you to remain calm as we work towards addressing the situation,” adds the statement.
“Every one of us—players, technical staff, management, administration and support teams—must adopt a stronger performance mindset.”
The loss to Arrows on Sunday left United lying in 11th place in the standings, 18 points behind the leaders.
