Zie Ouattara and Capita lead Radomiak Radom up Ekstraklasa table

Zie Ouattara and Capita each provided a goal and an assist as Radomiak Radom moved into a top-5 position in Poland’s top flight Ekstraklasa on Friday with a 4-0 victory over Gornik Zabrze.

Angolan forward Capita opened the scoring inside five minutes and the hosts did not look back at the Radom Municipal Stadium. The 23-year-old youth produce of Primeiro de Agosto received a pass from Rafal Wolski and found space to finish.

Later in the first half, it was the turn of Ivorian attacker Zie Ouattara to make an impact. In the 35th minute, midfielder Roberto Alves attempted a long distance effort that was spilled by Gornik Zabrze goalkeeper Marcel Lubik and Ouattara arrived to fire in the rebound.

Both players were involved in the second half as well. In the 55th minute, the Angolan collected the ball on the edge of his own penalty area and sparked a counter-attack with his pass to send fellow forward Maurides through on goal. The Brazilian made no mistake on the finish and it was 3-0 in favor of the hosts.

Roberto Alves finally got his goal soon after the hour mark a few minutes later through an accidental assist from Ouattara, who inadvertently blocked his own teammate’s shot right to Alves for a routine strike to complete the thrashing.

Radomiak Radom have now won three of their last four matches, leaving them in 4th place on the Ekstrakalasa table. Capita has five goals in fifteen matches this season while former ASEC Mimosas player Ouattara is also enjoying a strong campaign with two goals and three assists.
