The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) pacesetters went into the game four days after Ngezi Platinum FC had defeated them 1-0 to end a four-match winning run.
Malawian striker Chawanangwa Kaonga and Alleny Mukombezi were on target for Makepekepe leaders.

Who scored for CAPS United?

Kaonga scored with a fine strike in the second half before Mukombedzi cushioned the lead. It was the 17-year-old academy graduate’s second goal of the campaign.
Coach Takesure Chiragwi’s side made a response after wasting an earlier scoring opportunity. Manica Diamonds keeper Tedius Baye saved Kundai Benyu’s effort from the penalty spot in the first half.
In other games, second-placed Dynamos FC handed Simba Bhora FC their first defeat of the season with a 1-0 victory.
Elsewhere, MWOS FC handed Bulawayo Chiefs a  2-1 loss.
