Scottland FC were officially crowned as the 2025 Zimbabwe’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions on Saturday, earning veteran Knowledge Musona his first ever league title on home soil.
The newcomers defied all odds to seal the league crown with two games to spare in the process making history as first team since Black Rhinos (1984) to be crowned as the Zimbabwe champions in a debut season.

To add the icing on the cake, Tonderai Ndiraya side beat TelOne FC 2-1 at Ascot Stadium in Gweru in an academic game, courtesy of goals from Tymon Machope, the striker’s 16th of the season, and winger Tadiwa Chakuchichi.
Ndiraya also inked his piece of history for winning back-to-back Castle Lager PSL championships with two different teams. He also guided Simba Bhora FC to the league title last season before being lured by Scottland’s project that saw the signing of reigning player-of-the-year Walter and his elder brother Knowledge.
The former Kaizer Chiefs star had not won a league title at home as he left for South Africa from Aces Youth over a decade ago.
Scottland also signed Khama Billiat, another former AmaKhosi star, plus other high profile players, including Malawian forward Khuda Muyaba and ex-Orlando Pirates forward Terence Dzvukamanja.
Scottland finished the season seven points clear from second-placed MWOS FC while Bhora settled for third place.
