Dynamos FC head coach Lloyd “MaBlanyo” Chigowe is confident that the team will end their poor run of results in the Zimbabwe Super League as they prepare to face Triangle United at Gibbo Stadium on Sunday.
Dynamos are currently lying 14th on the 18-team league standings and they will face a side currently rooted at the bottom after managing only five points from 10 outings.
"To be honest, the team was going through a tough period, but the mood is now competitive and encouraging. The players are determined to break the jinx against our upcoming opponent. They're motivated to prove themselves, and we believe we can pull ourselves out of this rut,” said Chigowe.
“Chinyama, our striker coach, is a natural finisher with experience at the highest level. The players are responding well to his training programs, and his expertise is a valuable addition to our technical team.
“As a coach, my job is to solve football problems. We've added a qualified striker coach to help address our goal-scoring issues. We believe this will add value and quality to our team's performance.
“We've been competitive in most games, conceding at least once per match. However, we need to regain our confidence to win games. Most opponents end up defending desperately, and the 2025 PSL season has been characterized by tight matches with one goal deciding the outcomes.
“Unfortunately, when we concede, we often fail to get the equalizer. This isn't a new problem; we've faced it before, including in the Chibuku Super Cup and Castle Challenge Cup. We need to address this issue, possibly during the winter transfer window.”
Out of 10 matches so far this season, Dynamos have managed one win, five draws and suffered four defeats.
