Highlanders FC have sacked coach Kelvin Kaunda due to what the Zimbabwe giants say are unsatisfactory results.

The Castle Lager Premier League side confirmed the release of the Zambian technician.

"The club has parted ways with head coach Kelvin Kaindu. First Assistant coach Try Ncube will, in the interim, head the technical team assisted by second assistant coach Agent Sawu. The rest of the technical team members will maintain their roles," the club's statement read.

"The above changes have been necessitated by the recent streak of unsatisfactory results."

The coach got the sack days after Highlanders shared the spoils at 0-0 with Chicken Inn FC over the weekend.

Bosso have won just twice in the last eight league games. Their result against Chicken Inn dampened hopes that had come after a 1-0 win over Manica FC the previous weekend to temporarily snap a five-game winless run.

Highlanders' next fixture is against table topping MWOS FC this Sunday.

Bosso come ninth in the league table, 13 points behind leaders MWOS FC after managing just five wins in 17 games, eight draws and four losses.
