Ambitious Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premiership side Yadah FC has appointed Ibkabort Masocha as a new coach to replace Thomas Ruziwe.

In a statement, the Prophet Magaya-owned team said they settled for Masocha owing to his vast coaching experience.

“Mr Ikabort Masocha is a seasoned coach whose wealth of experience in the dugout is well documented both locally and regionally,” the statement reads.

Yadah said the CAF A-Licence holder previously managed local clubs such as Harare City before he migrated to Eswatini.

“Mr Masocha's footprints are indelible in the Eswatini Premier League. Mr Masocha will supervise a healthy technical bench that boasts of some illustrious names such as former Caps United goalkeeper, Brena Msiska and former Black Mambas shot-stopper, Christopher Ndonya,” the statement adds.

Masocha has replaced Ruziwe who parted ways with the team last month before players such as winger Khama Billiat. The Zimbabwean international is now on the books of Scottland FC.

The new Yadah boss has a challenge to surpass the 11th-place league finish of last season, a distant 19 points behind champions Simba Bhora.
