The two-time Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) title winner recently returned from Spain, where he took part in a two-week coaching attachment programme linked to Spanish La Liga. The tour exposed the Chicken Inn FC head coach to elite European football environments, offering insights into modern coaching methods, tactical organisation, and player development structures.

“Spain is a true football nation. Experiencing LaLiga football has broadened my perspective, and it will positively impact my work at Chicken Inn FC,” Ndiraya said.
He highlighted how observing elite clubs operate on a daily basis — both on and off the pitch — helped him better understand the importance of structure, intensity, and long-term planning in football.
As part of the programme, the former Simba Bhora and Scottland FC coach conducted educational visits to several La Liga clubs, including Villarreal FC, known for their strong youth development system and tactical discipline.
During the attachment, Ndiraya reportedly attended training sessions, tactical briefings, and performance analysis meetings, while also engaging with coaching staff on player conditioning, game preparation, and the integration of academy players into first-team football.
The exposure allowed him to study how Spanish clubs balance technical excellence with tactical intelligence — aspects he believes can be adapted to the Zimbabwean game despite differences in resources and infrastructure.

Sources close to the club suggest that Ndiraya is keen to introduce improved training methodologies, enhanced tactical organisation, and a stronger emphasis on positional play — principles commonly associated with Spanish football.
