The future of the former Aston Villa players has been uncertain following his absence from Luton City FC’s pre-season games. He was conspicuously absent in a goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Now, Luton coach Matt Bloomfield has confirmed that Nakamba is on the radar of Premier League teams.
He said the player’s future with the team has been thrown into big doubt following its relegation from the Sky Bet Championship to League One.
The defensive player has not featured in the Hatters’ pre-season friendlies although he is training with the team.
Speaking to Luton Today newspaper, Bloomfield cast doubt on the future of the Zimbabwean with the team.
“Marv has been a fantastic player for our football club, but he’s someone who played in the Premier League two seasons ago and has attracted interest,” the coach is quoted as saying.
The coach added that Luton management would be willing to listen to the right offers for Nakamba. The Warriors skipper signed for Luton permanently in 2023 from Villa. The Hatters start their League One campaign on Friday against AFC Wimbledon.
