AmaZulu FC coach Arthur Zwane says he is not getting carried away by his team’s steady climb in the Betway Premiership log table.
Having now switched into the Africa Cup of Nations-induced break, the Kaizer Chiefs legend has reflected on his team’s performance in the first half of the elite league of South Africa.
Zwane told his club’s website that his side has plenty of room for improvement describing it as still ‘a work in progress.’
The coach said there is still a long way to go for his side in the top-flight league of South Africa. Usuthu climbed into third spot after edging Lamontville Golden Arrows 1-0 during the week.
However, other results eventually pushed them into fourth place.
“But I want you to know we are a work in progress. We have youngsters—as you can see by some of the mistakes they commit—who still have a lot to learn and the game is a teacher. The only time they can learn is when they are given the opportunity to play, and they will grow in stature,” the former international winger said.
AmaZulu will resume their Betway Premiership campaign next month when they host TS Galaxy at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on January 25. Kick-off is at 15h30.
