Ligue 1: Hakimi assists in PSG’s domination of Nantes

Paris Saint-Germain moved four points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table with a 3-0 home victory over relegation candidates Nantes on Wednesday.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored twice, opening the scoring with a penalty kick in the 13th minute to give the hosts an early lead. Achraf Hakimi made a goal contribution towards halftime when his driving run and pass set up Désiré Doué for a perfect finish into the top corner.

PSG finish the job in the second half to extend Ligue 1 lead

The visitors, second from bottom on the table and five points away from relegation safety, did attempt to show more attacking ambition in the second half. However, they were no match for the reigning European club champions.

Kvaratskhelia finished off the victory early in the second half, courtesy of an assist from Ousmane Dembélé. Their lead is now four points ahead of scrappy contenders RC Lens, who advanced to the Coupe de France final on Tuesday.
