Tusker, who are looking for a route to continental return, have been drawn against Ulinzi Stars, who are also yawning for CAF competition.
Defending their status as one of the competition’s heavyweights, Tusker qualified for the last eight after securing a hard-fought 1-0 win over Kariobangi Sharks.
In another fixture, Bandari FC will come up against division one outfit Mfalme FC. The Dockers from Mombasa reached the stage following a 2-0 win against minnow 3K while Mflame stunned Premier League outfit Murang’a Seal 5-1.
In what will go down as one of the performances of the round, Mfalme showed no signs of inferiority, dominating proceedings and finishing clinically to send the higher-ranked side crashing out.
Kisii-based Shabana FC, who knocked out Kuta Collection FC with a 1-0 victory, will come up against FKF Premier League champions Police FC.
The law enforcer reached the stage following a 2-0 win against BB Bread, a side that had knocked out giants Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards.
