Zimbabwean stalwart Khama Billiat maintained his fine start to the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) season by scoring once again as Scottland FC beat hosts MWOS FC 1-0 on Saturday.
The Castle Lager PSL defending champions marched onto the pitch of Ngoni Stadium located near Harare on the back of a three-game winless run of three consecutive barren draws in the league, including in a midweek clash against Dynamos FC.
Ahead of the game, Scottland FC coach Norman Mapeza named a strong line-up, blending experience with the youth. Billiat was placed as the focal point of attack ably assisted by Musona brothers, Walter and Knowledge, who got a rare nod in the starting XI together.
Surely, Knowledge Musona, who has been coming off the bench in most games, was being rewarded for the goal he scored last Saturday to help the Castle Lager PSL holders claim the Independence Cup after beating Highlanders FC 1-0.
Saturday’s game belonged to the Zimbabwe league’s leading scorer Billiat who made the most of a defensive gaffe to slot the ball into the MWOS FC’s net barely eight minutes into the contest.
It was the fifth league goal of the campaign for the former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns ace.
Eventually, the ageless winger left the pitch to applause from the fans when he was substituted for Namibian international Isaskar Gurirab in the 81st minute while Emmanuel Ziocha and Albert Manenji replaced Kingsley Mureremba and captain Walter Musona.

The visitors, visibly struggling to cope with the physical demands of having played three games inside eight days, held on to their slender lead.
The three points pushed them three places up the ladder into fourth place, two points behind pacesetters CAPS United. MWOS FC remain in sixth position of the 18-member log table.
The next league assignment for Mapeza’s wards will be a home meeting with 2024 Castle Lager PSL winners Simba Bhora on 2 May 2026.
